"Art of Arm Balance" Saturday April 26th 3-5pm at Anjali Hot Yatra Yoga
Hold yourself up on your own two hands! Arm balance postures, like Crow Pose, are a fun and empowering addition to your yoga practice. When practiced skillfully, arm balances can build upper body strength, core awareness and endurance. These postures also help to cultivate inner strength, trust, and playfulness.
In this workshop we will explore the fundamentals of arm balance postures by first observing and experiencing all of the anatomical elements individually. We will discuss shoulder and wrist preparation, safety, core strength and the lower body's role. From there we can begin putting all of the peices together and build our Crow (and other arm balances!) with a deeper understanding and greater confidence.
This is a great opportunity to get some one-on-one advice and direction if you are interested in exploring the Art of Arm Balance. Specialized props, called Three Minute Eggs®, will be provided to make these poses accessible and varied.
